Does the Security Scanning Device allow for static IP Addresses/ Does it require DHCP?

Bridging Connectivity: Addressing the DHCP Requirement and Static IP Assignments for Network Security Compliance.

The device requires DHCP to acquire an IP address on the network.

However, many of our clients operate networks that require pre-assigning static IP addresses to devices for security reasons, but still utilize DHCP to communicate the statically assigned IP address (and the associated network information) to the devices. This is supported.

We do not currently support networks without any form of DHCP that require manually configuring the endpoint itself with the IP, netmask, gateway, etc.

If your network doesn't have DHCP, then we would need to discuss potential alternatives or solutions. If you have multiple networks, at least one of those networks has DHCP, those networks are connected, and you can allow a device on one network to communicate with devices on the other networks, then you could connect our scanning device to the network with DHCP and scan the other networks from there. Again, this would only work if these networks are connected and they are configured in such a way that a device on one network could communicate with devices on the other network(s).
